Ramara Recreation and Rama First Nation Recreation have created a unique partnership to bring back fastball to area diamonds.

Fastball remains a large part of the culture with First Nations and is celebrated at a national level. The Ramara League folded after the 2017 season due to a lack of volunteers interested in keeping it going.

The two municipalities have teamed together staff to make the league a reality in 2019. From T-ball to senior teen divisions, we are hoping to resurrect the defunct league and bring some life back to the diamonds once again.

The basic difference between regular baseball as most know it and fastball is the use of a larger softball which is thrown underhand by the pitcher. Often recognized as “fastpitch”, this term denotes the underhand windmill pitch which increases in speed as players progress in age.

For more information or to sign up for this league, contact us:

Let’s play ball!
