Spring is just around the corner and believe it or not, so is baseball season.

Orillia Legion Minor Baseball has been helping to provide youth in Orillia with a positive baseball experience for over 60 years. The league encourages players from all skill levels to sign up. Registration has been ongoing since late December and the league is anticipating another strong year for enrollment.

"Initial numbers have been very positive. When last I checked our enrollment was up about five per cent over our numbers at the same time last year."  says Ed Novosky, Director Of Sponsorships. "I encourage people to get online or come to the in person registration. Last season we had a wait list because spot were completely filled up."

Coaches are also always needed so don't be afraid to throw your hat into the ring. "I have had the pleasure of coaching for the past 2 years. It is so much fun watching the players grow and get better as the summer goes on.  It really is a rewarding experience." adds Novosky.

Orillia Legion Minor Baseball will be hosting their final on person registration on Thursday evening from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the Orillia Legion in the Vimy Room. The Legion is located at 215 Mississauga St E, right along the waterfront.

This is a great time to bring your kids in to try on uniforms and sign up for the 2018 season. Online registration can also be completed until March 31 on the league website at orilliaminorbaseball.ca.
