Orillia Royals slugger Chase Brennan hit a pair of homeruns Wednesday night to help his team crush Creemore 10-3. Orillia leads the best-of-five championship series 2-0.

The Wes Brennan Orillia Royals homered their way to a 10-3 romp over the Creemore Padres in Orillia Wednesday night.

The Royals turned to the long ball in a big way, launching five balls out of the Gander Ross diamond in Orillia, delighting the hometown crowd.

Chase Brennan led the way with two home runs, while Ben Barzo, Owen Kaczanowski and Teddy McCollum Kuntz each hit one. Jhett Winkel and Wyatt Thompson each chipped in with two hits as well.

Kobe Geofroy, Owen Kaczanowski, McCollum-Kunt and Max Rutherford all pitched well for the Royals in the triumph over the defending league champions.

The victory gives the Royals a 2-0 series stranglehold in the best-of-five junior division championship of the North Dufferin league.

Game 3 is slated for next Wednesday in Creemore.
