After four wins in pool play, the Hawks won a thrilling shootout in the semi-final before blanking Stoney Creek in the championship contest

The Hawks McKee Tirecraft U18 HL team emerged with the championship banner at the hometown tournament last weekend after six hard-fought games.

The team won their first four games of pool play before meeting Collingwood in the semifinal Sunday afternoon.

After a 1-1 tie, and a scoreless overtime, Mikayla Burns scored the winning goal in a thrilling shootout. 

In the final against Stoney Creek the team came away with a 1-0 win with the winning goal scored by Paige Paddon. 

All players displayed outstanding teamwork and enthusiasm throughout the weekend!
