Senior boys' team caps undefeated season with area title

The St. Bernard’s Catholic Elemenrary School senior boys basketball team recently capped an undefeated season when they were crowned the area’s top squad at a regional eight-team tournament at Twin Lakes Secondary School. St. Bernard’s Catholic Elementary School won the recent Orillia Area Senior Boys' Basketball Tournament held at Twin Lakes Secondary School.

St. Bernard’s defeated Orchard Park Elementary 39-18 in the title game to capture the regional crown. St. Bernard’s went undefeated in their season and clinched the title in the area tournament against seven other teams.

This past week, the team competed in the Simcoe County championship held at Bear Creek Secondary School in Barrie but the local team was unable to advance past the second round. The team is thankful to Coach Rod Ayers for his support and guidance.
