Prepare for an exhilarating night of action on the ice as the highly anticipated Boots and Hearts Barn Burner Charity Hockey Game returns to the Sadlon Arena, 555 Bayview Dr., Barrie, on Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2023.
This star-studded event will feature the incredible talents of National Hockey League (NHL) stars, including John Tavares, Bo Horvat, Andrew Mangiapane, and many more coming together for one night only in support of local charities.
The Boots and Hearts Barn Burner aims to raise vital funds and awareness for a range of local charities, including the RVH Healthcare Centre, PIE Education, Rotary Club, and several other deserving organizations that play a significant role in making a positive impact on the lives of residents in our community. This year’s event has already raised over $200,000 for local charities, and that number is still growing as game day approaches.

Background:
In its history, the Boots and Hearts Barn Burner has raised over $2 million dollars for local charities, including The Royal Victoria Health Centre (RVH), Rotary, PIE Education, Easter Seals, John Tavares Foundation, and others.
After a successful 2022 event, the Boots and Hearts Barn Burner raised $155,000 for local charities, and featured Toronto Maple Leaf Captain, John Tavares, alongside many National Hockey League (NHL) players and alumni.
The Boots and Hearts Barn Burner roster has featured 20 professional hockey players from the NHL and OHL as well as community players.
