Local athletes helped propel their north-division team to success at the U18 All Star Showcase in Markham recently.
Players from the Team Micks U18A Orillia Terriers hockey squad taking part in the event were Cal Murphy, Colsen Maracle, Sam Reda, Austin Serbinek and Ty Colebrook, along with head coach Mike Borrelli.
The showcase was for players in their final year of minor hockey.
Athletes from each team in the York Simcoe Minor Hockey League made up the two teams, and the north-division squad prevailed over the south by a score of 8-1.
