The Snowleopards Cheerleading team from Orillia, in association with the Mariposa Gymnastics Club, enjoyed a great start to their first season. This past fall, they competed in the Fall Classic, putting in a strong effort amid tough competition. Their dedication and commitment to learning their first routine helped them stand out as a force to be reckoned with. In addition, the girls took time to cheer on runners at the Orillia Terry Fox Run in an effort to make their mark on the community.

In December, the team competed in the Cheer for the Cure. This year's competition served as a fund-raiser for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. In the Youth Level 1 Division, the local girls came out strong, receiving an eighth-place finish in a highly competitive division. In the Youth Level 3 Individual Division, Addy Ayers competed for her first time and came home with a first-place finish.

Snowleopards Cheerleading is excited about what 2018 has in store for them as they perfect their skills and dance before heading to their next competition.
