NEWS RELEASE
ORILLIA LAWN BOWLING CLUB
***********************

The Orillia Lawn Bowling Club is a friendly non-profit club offering sportsmanship, exercise and social gatherings. We have an excellent green and a roomy clubhouse.

Lawn bowling occurs from May to September. We bowl on a regular schedule throughout the week. We’ll have a spring general meeting and registration on May 14 at 6:30 p.m. at the clubhouse at 5 Commerce Rd.

The club also hosts a variety of tournaments and events and always welcomes new members.

To help newcomers to the sport learn about the game, the club is offering free lawn bowling sessions for three weeks. The lessons will be offered Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. starting May 23 or from 2 to 4 p.m. Sundays, starting May 27.

Equipment will be supplied, but participants must wear flat shoes.

You can register with the city’s parks, recreation and culture department on the third floor of city hall or email the local club: [email protected] For more information, visit www.orillialawnbowls.ca
