Recently, the Orillia Lakers U10 boys select basketball team played a mini-tournament in Bracebridge.

The first game was against a taller and more experienced team from Sudbury. Orillia was on the short end of the score sheet.

In Game 2, Orillia played the host Bracebridge Breakers. Bracebridge got out to an early 12-4 lead, but Orillia picked up defensively and narrowed the gap to four at the half.

With the game close most of the way, Bracebridge pulled away to a 36-25 win.

Leading scorers for the Lakers were Sam Morgan, James Grieve and Anders Voderak. Heart and hustle were Max Horner, Ethan Hunter and Ted Allen.

For most of these players, it was their first tournament experience.
