Adam Chambers has announced that he is entering the race to succeed Member of Parliament, Bruce Stanton as the Conservative Party candidate in the next federal election.

“I am very fortunate to have been born and raised in Midland, and to have had the opportunity to work on the national stage with incredible role models like Bruce Stanton and Jim Flaherty who have taught me the value of public service and the importance of fiscal responsibility. These are two things we need now more than ever,” said Adam Chambers.

“We need a Member of Parliament in Simcoe North who will carry on Bruce’s commitment to service, and who will have a strong voice in Ottawa to hold Prime Minister Trudeau and his Liberal government to account for their spending.”

Born and raised in Midland, Adam attended Saint Theresa’s High School and played hockey for the Midland Centennials and eventually the Flyers. Adam holds a law degree and a Masters in Business Administration degree from the University of Western Ontario.

Adam practiced law and served as a senior advisor to the late Minister of Finance Jim Flaherty. He currently works as an Assistant Vice President at one of Canada’s largest financial services companies. Since 2015, Adam has been a board member of the Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care in Penetanguishene to promote mental health and give back to our community.

Adam’s nomination campaign has already earned the support of local and national leaders, including former Mayor of Tay Township, Scott Warnock, and Canada’s former Foreign Affairs Minister, John Baird.

“For over a decade I worked with Bruce Stanton and saw first-hand what it takes to be a strong voice in Ottawa for the residents of Simcoe North. His ability to develop positive relationships with all members of Parliament has benefited our community greatly. Adam Chambers will do the same,” said Scott Warnock.

“The next couple of years will be difficult for all Canadians. Simcoe North needs a Member of Parliament who will make sure that the most vulnerable among us are supported. Adam is the person to do exactly that."

“Adam’s experience in business and politics will make him a respected and influential Member of Parliament. I have no doubt he is best placed to deliver for Simcoe North as part of Erin O’Toole’s team in the House of Commons,” said John Baird.

The date for the nomination vote has not been announced by the Conservative Party. You must be a Conservative Party member to vote in the nomination. To join, or for more information, please visit www.adamchambers.ca or call Adam at 705-529-3666.
