Huronia Community Foundation delivers second round of emergency community support

$50,000 in grants have gone to local charities experiencing heightened vulnerability during the second wave of the pandemic

Huronia Community Foundation (HCF) is proud to have partnered with Community Foundations of Canada and the Government of Canada to deliver Round 2 of the Emergency Community Support Fund (ECSF) in North Simcoe and surrounding areas.

Huronia Community Foundation has disbursed its allocation of $50,000 in grants available in Round 2 to local charities experiencing heightened vulnerability during the second wave of the pandemic. The Huronia Community Foundation is pleased to announce the ECSF has supported 26 projects including:

  • $5,000 to Community Reach North Simcoe to complete purchase of an accessible van for their transportation service across the area. This will be off great assistance to those with mobility challenges.
  • $4,000 to Habitat for Humanity Ontario Gateway North for their Building Futures in Midland initiative which will assist two vulnerable families in our community.
  • $3,000 to Catholic Family Services of Simcoe County which will enable them to provide remote access professional counseling services to North Simcoe residents.
