MIDHURST – Navigating the 2021 tax season may be more complicated for many small businesses and self-employed individuals that had to pivot, shut down, or alter operations in 2021 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

On March 25, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the “Ask an Expert” webinar series invites interested parties to join Allen Lloyd, Tax Advisor, Consultant and founder of Lloyd Management Services (LMS) for a free virtual webinar that will help small businesses prepare to file a tax return. Allen brings with him 10 years of experience as an Outreach Co-ordinator and Resource Officer at the Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA), and more than 25 years of experience assisting clients with income tax preparation and advocacy.

This session will enable participants to ask important questions about any impacts/changes related to the pandemic, and to enhance their knowledge of CRA filing and reporting requirements. Topics will include:

  • Requirements for maintaining books and records

  • How to read and use financial statements

  • Understanding the CRA tax requirements
