The Study
The Township of Tiny (Township) is developing its first Transportation Master Plan (TMP). TMP’s are long-range plans that guide transportation planning and infrastructure needs to accommodate growth and development within a broad area. As part of the TMP process, the short- and long-term transportation infrastructure needs will be identified, and solutions that help to improve connectivity and travel times, increase safety, and encourage active transportation and transit will be considered. This multi-modal plan will address existing and future vehicular, bicycle, pedestrian, transit, and off-road vehicle (ORV) mobility including ATVs, dirt bikes and snowmobiles.

The TMP study will assess the Township’s existing and future transportation challenges and opportunities, and will provide recommendations for operational, design, and transportation policies that the Township will use to manage its transportation infrastructure up to 2031.

The Process
This study is being undertaken in accordance with Approach #1 of the Master Planning Process, as outlined in Appendix 4 of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) document (October 2000, as amended in 2007, 2011 and 2015). As such, the TMP will generally address Phases 1 and 2 of the MCEA process and will form the basis for the recommended Schedule B and C transportation infrastructure projects identified within the TMP report.

Consultation
The Township is initiating a comprehensive consultation process and your participation is encouraged to provide input by identifying potential transportation infrastructure needs and opportunities. All interested parties are invited to visit the study website to find additional information about this study. An online map and survey are currently available on the study website for you to identify specific areas of concern or opportunity within the Township’s transportation network. Additional opportunities to review TMP Update information and to provide your feedback will be offered as this study progresses.
