ALISON, Robert Michael 'Bob'

1945-2023

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Robert Michael Alison Ph.D. in Orillia on July 29, 2023. Bob graduated from the University of Toronto, with a doctorate degree in Ornithology. He worked as a Professional Ecologist, Wildlife Researcher, Photographer and Writer. In his wildlife research work Bob’s primary focus was the study of endangered birds. He was a leading expert in that field. Many of his papers and photographic images have been published globally. Bob was the eldest son of Ron and Audrey Alison and is survived by his brothers Steven (Kendal) and Gary (Cher). A memorial service will be at Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N., Orillia on August 8, 2023 at 11 am.
