ANDERSON, Donna Jean

Peacefully, at St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto, on Saturday, May 15th, 2021, in her 83rd year, Donna Anderson, of Toronto, daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Bessie) Anderson of Orillia.  Lovingly remembered by her sister Joan Anderson of Toronto.
 
After Toronto Teachers College, Donna spent her early career teaching elementary school for the Toronto School Board.  She then attended Manchester University in England for training in deaf education.  Upon her return to Canada, she taught at the Metro Toronto School for the Deaf until her retirement.
 
Cremation has taken place, and a burial in the family plot will be held at a later date at St. Andrew's - St. James' Cemetery, Orillia.  If desired, memorial donations to the Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital Foundation, or a charity of your choice, would be appreciated and may be made through the Mundell Funeral Home (705) 325-2231.
