It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David (Dave) Richard Edward Baker on April 3, 2023 in Orillia. Beloved husband of Buffy Baker and loving father of Sarah (Derek) Bulas, Aaron (Autumn) Baker and Megan (Tristan) Scott. Cherished Papa to Warner, Miller, Parker, Ella, Brooke, Finn and Paxton. He will be greatly missed by his many siblings, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Dave was born in Orillia in 1951, the third child to Laurene (Ostertag) Usackas and David (Val) Baker.
Throughout his life, Dave was tenacious and hard working. In 1976, he and Buffy established Dynasty Pools in Orillia. He will be remembered fondly by his friends and loyal customers.
Dave had no greater joy in life than spending time with his family and sneaking treats to his grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Home 54 Coldwater Street E., Orillia, Ontario 705-326-3595.
