Passed away at the Trillium Manor, Orillia on Thursday August 5, 2021 at the age of 97.
Lois Balkwill of Orillia, beloved wife of the late Boyd Balkwill. Loving mother of the late Garry Balkwill, (Sharon), the late Doug Balkwill, Bonnie Groves (Allan) and Brian (Bo) Balkwill (Kelly). Loved by her grandchildren Brian Groves (Karen), Marty Groves (Tracey), Scott Balkwill (Laurie), Brent Balkwill (Kristina), Shelley Russell (Ben) and Brianne Balkwill (Jeff) and by her great grandchildren, Jack, Kate, Emma, Carter, Cole, Max, Emma, Carson and Devin. Cherished by her great granddaughter Briar Balkwill.
Lois loved the sport of Lacrosse and hockey and spent a great deal of time watching her children and grandchildren play. Mom was a member of the Ladies Orange for 60 years.
As per mom’s wishes there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. A special thank you to all of the staff at Trillium Manor, Dr. Erika Catford and Dr. Peter Daniel for all the care given to mom.
