Passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 14th, 2023, at the Birchmere Retirement Home, Orillia in his 92nd year. Bill, beloved husband of the late Patricia Mae (nee Dalzell). Loving father of Dale Mytton (predeceased) (Wendy), Darrell Barnes (Terri), Sandy Mark (Rob), Barry Barnes (Sandra) and Steve Barnes (Predeceased) (Bev). Cherished grandfather of David, Darcey, Denessa, Colin, Virginia, Krystle, Amanda, Jake, Kurtis (predeceased), Tim, Mitchell and Kylee (predeceased), and great grandfather of 12. Survived by his sister Bernice and predeceased by his siblings Mae, Chester, Bruce, John, Joyce, and Wayne. Bill will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews and their families. The family would like to thank all the staff at Birchmere Retirement Home and a special thank you to Jackie Payne, Dr. Ho and the Bayshore Nursing Staff, for their wonderful care and support. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 21st, 2023, at the Christian Fellowship Chapel, 1296 Cambrian Rd., Severn, from 12 noon until time of funeral service at 1 pm. A Private Family interment was held at St. Andrew's - St. James' Cemetery, Orillia. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Christian Fellowship Chapel, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
