Elsie Bartlett Pic

Passed away peacefully at home on Monday June 6, 2022, one month before her 90th birthday when her LORD and Saviour, in His perfect timing, gently carried her home. Our amazing Mom was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus. Elsie was predeceased by her husband and best friend, Max, who adored her and she, in turn, loved him and was faithful to him throughout their marriage. Elsie was predeceased by parents, Edgar and Dorothy, as well as her brother Doug Sander and sister, Lois Menu. She is survived by her baby sister, Lynda (Jan) Havenaar. She leaves behind her children, Brian (Carol), Brenda (Dave), Shelly, Glenna and Lisa (Steve), who are rejoicing in her home going.

There are no perfect mothers, but our mom was the perfect mother for us. She leaned heavily on the Lord for the raising of her family. Elsie was the very loving and involved grandmother to 19 grands and 30 great grands. They all cherished her dearly and even now speak of the love, prayers, and encouragement she spoke to them. They all agree she was the life of the party! She is lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Our matriarch leaves a legacy of loving Jesus. She shared this love with whoever she was with. Mom made friends wherever she landed, including North and South America, Europe, and The Middle East (Israel). That adventurous lady even kissed the Blarney Stone (and, she was afraid of heights!!!)

Our family extends a heartfelt thank you to the Palliative Outreach Teams of Waterloo/Wellington and Oxford County, Care Partner Nurses (Ali), Care coordinator Erin McMahon Aguair, Dr. Dai and Dr. Jitin Sondhi. We also are so grateful for the care of Dr. Tamale these past 10 years for our mother.
