BEARD, DAVID JAMES P.
On Monday, November 13th, Dave passed on to heaven after a 13 year valiant battle with brain cancer at age 68. Dave was the beloved husband of Debbie Beard ( nee Bonner) and the late Sharon Cripps. Bonus Dad to David MacBurnie (deceased)and Cristi Radczak (Dan). Loving son of Eldon and Gladys Beard (deceased) and son-in-law of Charles Bonner (deceased) and Baerbel Bonner. Much loved brother of John Beard (deceased) (Bonnie), Paul Beard, Gord Beard (Kim) (deceased), Elizabeth Cunningham (John). Dear brother-in-law of Danny Bonner (deceased), Sally Mcallister (Ross), Charleen McCormick (Dan), Sheila Lillicrap, Edward McLaughlin and Jason Bonner. Remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Dave was a quiet soul, who loved fishing (often with his friend Ken)and snowmobiling. He was quite content to spend hours tinkering on his three machines in the shed. He loved to build things, such as a deck, shed and staircase with no plans. He enjoyed small family gatherings and doing Orillia events with Debbie. He loved Orillia and did much study on the history of our city and collected many momentos. One of his great joys was attending church at Calvary Orillia and he loved everyone there. So many faithfully prayed with and for Dave, Debbie and the family would like to thank Sunnybrook Hospital and the Emergency department at OSMH for their excellent care of Dave.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the L. Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia (705) 326-3595 on Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 2-5 P.M. and at the Calvary Orillia, 375 Westmount Dr. N., Orillia on Sunday November 19, 2023 from 1 pm until time of service at 2 pm. Interment Knox Cemetery, Oro-Medonte.
