BERNARD, RONALD FIDELE
It is with great sadness to announce Ronald Fidele Bernard, age 86, passed away peacefully on Sunday November 26, 2023 at the Mariposa House Hospice surrounded by his family. Born August 16, 1937 in Tignish, PEI, he was the eldest son of the late Boniface and Evelyn Bernard.
Ronald (Ron) is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Connie; 5 children; Dan (Mary) Bernard, Brian (Lisa) Bernard, Bob (Cristina) Bernard, Michelle (Brian) Cole and Tammy Bernard; 17 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Theresa (Clarence) Haywood and many loving nieces and nephews. Ron was predeceased by his parents Boniface and Evelyn; brother Edwin (Mabel) Bernard and brother Oswald (Shirley) Bernard.
Near the end, Ron (Dad) said his only fear was how much he would miss his wife and family. We assured him, not to worry, for although we too will miss him dearly, he continues to live through each and everyone of us, everyday, through eternity.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Mariposa House Hospice.
