The Blaney family announces with great sorrow, the passing of Brock, beloved husband to Betty, loving father to Brenda (Frankie), Pam (Robin), and Andrea (Darrell).
He died at the Greater Niagara General Hospital in Niagara Falls on Thursday, June 15th, 2023, ten days after undergoing hip repair surgery at St. Joe's Hospital in Hamilton.
Brock was a quiet, intelligent, reflective man, a world traveler, whose interests and hobbies were diverse. His marksmanship skills were confirmed by his numerous target shooting competition awards. A hobbyist and certified watchmaker, his vast antique clock collection ranged from pocket watches to tall clocks. He enjoyed the challenge of the restoration process.
His reading interests were eclectic. The mysteries of the universe fascinated him as did the working of the stock market. He read widely on both subjects. Although he didn't read novels, humorous books appealed to his Irish sense of humour.
Brock fished, hiked, skied, and was an avid tennis fan.
Brock and his devoted four legged inseparable companion Zoe, loved to sit on our King's Point terrace watching the day unfold.
We will miss him more than words can express. He will forever be in our hearts.
