After a courageous fight, Joan succumbed to her illness at the Windsor Regional Hospital - Ouellette Campus with her sister by her side, at the age of 73. Joan will be forever admired for her kind-hearted, selfless, generous soul; a true caregiver at heart. She will be remembered as a loving mother of Kurt Taillon; proud grandma of Wesley; cherished sister of Suzanne Prosser (Allan, predeceased) and Wayne Bowers (Andrea); much loved aunt of Lisa Radey (Mike) and their children Steven, Melissa, Rachel, Emma and Joey; beloved daughter of the late Lewis & Alice Bowers and dearest friend of Sandra Donnelly. The family wishes to thank the Dr. Elgwaidy and the entire I.C.U. staff of the Ouellette Campus for their utmost compassion and care shown to Joan. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 21st from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N., Orillia. A Mass of Christian Burial will held on Monday, October 22nd at 2 p.m. at the Church of the Guardian Angels, 115 West St. N., Orillia. Interment: St. Michael's Cemetery, Orillia. In Memory of Joan, memorial donations to the Windsor Regional Hospital - Ouellette Campus (Intensive Care Unit) would be gratefully appreciated.
