It is with great sadness we share that Darcy Sawyer Brown has passed peacefully at his home. He leaves his children Tyler (Monica) and Melanie as well as his grandchildren Kali, Cory, and Sarah behind. Missed greatly by his best friend and ex-wife Lois Crowder, his 10 siblings, and multiple nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife Carolyn and leaves behind her 2 sons, Steven (Kellie) and Jamie (Amanda) as well as grandchildren Brodie and Niki.

Darcy was forever the biggest kid around, most recently donning his beloved frog pants, spreading infectious smiles and kindness wherever he went. Always quick with a joke, a kind word, or a dose of hard truth, even when it was tough to swallow. He was a familiar face to many and known by countless names. He might forget your name, but he never forgot your face.

He lived a full, long, and colourful life and connected with more people than he could count. He could rarely go anywhere in Muskoka without being greeted by an old co-worker, neighbour, extended family member or friend and he would always make time to chat. His door was always open day or night, rain or shine, and the tea kettle or coffee was always at the ready to be shared in good times or bad.

We openly invite family, friends and all well wishers to share in celebrating his zest for life at the Quality Inn & Conference Centre (formerly the Highwayman Inn) at 201 Woodside Drive, Orillia in the Leacock Room on Sunday, May 26th, 2024, from 2pm till 6pm.

Coffee and tea will be available as well as a cash bar. A light snack will be provided and to honour Darcy, attire should be casual and comfortable (frog pants and bucket hats are optional).

Darcy would ask everyone to pay forward acts of kindness to strangers in lieu of flowers or donations.
