It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Burke, of Orillia, Ontario, Canada. John passed away on December 19th, 2022, after a long and fulfilled life of 89 years.
John loved life and would always light up a room with his humour and stories. He was a lover of good food, golf, boating and he always had a thing for cars.
He was a dedicated hardworking individual, who dedicated his entire career to sales in various industries. He was known for his strong work ethic and his ability to build lasting relationships with his clients.
John leaves behind a loving family, including his partner Bonnie, son Brian (Tanja), and grandchildren Daryl (Kaitlyn), Derek (Sophie), Geoff (Angela), Shannon (Brandon), Sienna, Ryan, Jaime and Riley, as well as his great-grandchildren Joelle, Olivia, Greyson, Josie and Zachary. He was predeceased by his wife Lucy, and his sons David (Debbie), Gary (Dorothy), and Greg (Sonja).
John will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and the community where he was active in Habitat for Humanity. He will be remembered for his kind and generous spirit and his unwavering love for his family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on February 25th, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Home, located at 54 Coldwater Street E., Orillia, Ontario (705) 326-3595. We invite everyone who knew and loved John to come and share their memories and celebrate his life.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in John's memory to a charity of your choice.
