BURNIE, William Gordon

Passed away peacefully on Saturday May 6, 2023 after a lengthy struggle with dementia at the age of 94. Gord is finally at peace and reunited with his beloved wife Shirley, son Jeff & infant son John. He was also predeceased by his sister, Dorothy Grinyer and brother, Bob. He will be missed by his remaining children Michael Burnie & Lynn Mueller (and spouse Werner) and daughter-in-law Kim Burnie-Glasgow (and spouse Bert). Gord was grandfather to seven: Richard (Lindsey), Nathaniel, and Christopher (Kacie) Mueller, Aaron Burnie (Erinne) and Samantha Copeland (Tim), Gregory Burnie (Sonja) and Jessica Burnie Jennings (Trevor). He leaves a continuing legacy of 11 great grandchildren!! He has left behind his faithful and beloved companion, Buddy. At Gord's explicit request, he will be cremated and interred at the feet of his wife and there will be no visitation or service as per his wishes.
