John Enver Burton

May 1,1948 ~ June 8, 2013

Passed away suddenly at his home in Hixon BC.

John was born in Orillia, Ontario, the second son of George "Woodrow" Burton born in Sadowa ON, and Vera Agnes Burton (nee Beach) born in Whitechurch Township ON, (both predeceased).

Beloved husband to Rayma (nee Brown) from Bassano, Alberta.

Father of Bryan Woodrow Morgan (predeceased) from Orillia ON.

John leaves behind his son, Aaron Christopher Burton and Aaron's mother Judith "Judy" Sibson (nee Thompson) from Vancouver BC.

John was the younger brother to Larry Woodrow Burton (predeceased).

John left behind his big sister Georgina (Gina) Vera Barnes nee Burton (RIP 2021), and his little sister Luann Burton who resides in Sidney, BC.

John attended Leigh's Corners Public School in Hawkestone, and Park Street Collegiate Institute in Orillia.

After post-secondary training as electrician, he traveled to Canada's Westcoast.

He loved adventure and the outdoors. He lived various places throughout British Columbia and Vancouver Island, until settling in Hixon BC, where he resided with his wife Rayma. Together they enjoyed a rural lifestyle and owned and operated Burton Electric.

After retirement, John obtained work driving School Bus. He especially enjoyed the children who rode his route with him.

John was easy-going at heart, and always had a smart remark accompanied by a good sense of humor.

As per John's wishes, his ashes were cast to the wind and into the ocean, at Cox Bay BC. Close family attended.

He is often thought of by friends and family.
