Kathleen Mary Magdalen Byrne

Kathleen died peacefully at Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital surrounded by her beloved brother, Bill and his loving partner, Ron (Leduc). Predeceased by her adoring mother, Kathleen (Kay). Cherished Sister to Judy (Tomarin), Maureen (Flynn-Byrne), Aunt, great Aunt, Cousin and friend to so many. All who met Kathleen were immediately a friend, who numbered as the stars in the sky. Those who knew her recognized her as a little angel, always showing love and compassion to all, even until the end, during her advanced dementia stage. To know her was to love her.
We thank the doctors, nursing staff at Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital, the PSWs, nurses, recreational & culinary staff and volunteers at Trillium Manor nursing home, Paramed, Carepartners, VONs Adult Day Program, Happy at Home, Mindy (Halper) & Dr Freedman at Baycrest Hospital, Toronto, her family doctor, Dr. Thomas Mills, Orillia staff at Passport, Ontario Ministry of Long-Term Care, & ODSP, dental staff at Toothpick Dental, Dr Susy Lee Dentistry and all who have assisted her along her earthly journey.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday May 31 at 1 pm at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Muskoka St in Washago. Reception to follow. A private family burial in Windsor, ON with her mother and grandmother, will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital Foundation, Baycrest Foundation, Trillium Manor, Community Living Ontario, Ontario March of Dimes or Orillia VON Adult Day program
