CATHCART, BRENDA (AKA “Mrs. Cathcart’”)
Peacefully at her home on March 17, 2022, with her boys by her side, Brenda entered into rest.
Who taught us how to dance and sing,
And loved to hear our laughter ring.
You always had a joyful smile,
Flamboyant taste and creative style.
As time went past this gift would grow,
And spread from you like a breeze would blow.
It reached your students (both family and friend),
And we hoped that life would have no end.
But life is not without despair,
And tragedies we have to bear.
Then once again a breeze would blow,
And help restore a subtle glow.
It gave us strength so hope could bloom,
Then life and laughter would resume,
And leave behind the grief and pain,
But the scars of memory do remain.
A timeless truth we learned from you,
The world will change and we must to.
The grand farewell you so deserved,
Was not performed and not observed.
We chose to end the walk alone,
Your boys, the breeze, the earth, the stone.
