After a sudden but brief illness, on February 2nd, 2023 at the age of 94, Joan is together again with her loving and cherished husband, John “David” Collins, after 20 years. Beloved stepmother of Kevin and wife Maria of Barrie, Leo (predeceased) and wife Mary-Lou of Sault Ste. Marie, and Joe of Barrie. Nonna Joan to John David, Steven Paul, Robert Leo and Kyle John. Daughter of Burton and Marguerite Lovering (predeceased), dear sister of Gerald Lovering (predeceased). Joan will be fondly remembered by many relatives, friends and colleagues from Huronia Regional Centre where she worked for over 35 years. A celebration of life will take place on February 18, 2023 at Mundell Funeral Home from 11 am to 1 pm in the chapel. A graveside service will be held at St. Andrew's - St. James' Cemetery, Orillia in the spring. The family would like to thank the team at Woods Park Care Centre for all their care and support towards Joan - especially Joyce, Victoria, Christopher, Valerie, Paula, and Simar.
