Dilks Headshot

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our greatest friend Jamie Lynn Dilks. After a short but very courageous battle with cancer she succumbed to her illness on Saturday April 16th, 2022 at around 1:30pm.

Jamie is survived by her loving partner Dan Alexander of Port Sydney and very dear sisters Tary Roossien and her husband Ed, Robin Fortunato and her husband Gerry Lantaigne. Jamie had a very special bond with our beloved Marc Fortunato – Marc has left a big whole in our hearts and we hope he will meet up with her very soon. She is also survived by two beloved nieces Maxine Roossien (Tanner), Norma Jean Fortunato (Madeline) and her beloved nephew Lucas Roossien and his wife Jenny. Also Jamie was extremely close to her great nieces and nephews, Lenny, Sully and Ella. Also very special niece Brandi Roossien, nephew, Jessie Roossien (Nicole) and Marc’s extended family, Kelly and their son Jackson.

Jamie was born in Hamilton Ontario on March 31, 1957 to Norma and Ronald Dilks. Jamie had many friends and relatives too extensive to mention. She is survived by an Aunt Georgina Sneath (Gord) from Welland, Ontario, step mom Fran Dilks (Ron - predeceased) of Edmonton, Alberta and Uncle Bob and Aunt Sharron of Port Sydney, Ontario. Jamie was loved by all and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers a donation to Huntsville Hospice will be greatly appreciated.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place at the home of Tary and Ed Roossien in Huntsville. Time and details to be determined later. Cremation has taken place. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at the Bracebridge Hospital for all their special care and attention in her last days.  Memorial tributes and words of comfort for the family may be left on Jamie’s tribute page at Tribute for Jamie Lynn Dilks | Basic Funerals and Cremation Choices - Jennett Memorial Centre (funeralhosting.com)  Services handled by Basic Funerals – Jennett Memorial Centre, 152 Bradford Street, Barrie ON L4N 3B5
