It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Marjorie “Marge” Elizabeth (Pearce) Drouillard on Dec 31, 2023, in Orillia, Ontario.

Beloved wife of Kenneth W. Drouillard. Loving mother of daughter Denise Marie McGuffin (Michael), and son Conrad. Cherished grandmother of Trey and Jessie McGuffin. Marjorie was the daughter of George and Ida Viola May “Mamie” (Wilkinson) Pearce, sister of Marilyn (Lloyd) MacLean, and the late Carol. Sister-in-law of Rose Marie, Bill, Eddie, Vern (all deceased), Geraldine Atkin (the late Bill), and Bonnie Potter (the late Dan).

Marjorie was a retired school teacher and absolutely loved her career and teaching her “kids”. She spent the majority of her golden years at the cottage on Crystal Lake, her favourite spot since she was a kid there herself with her dad. When her grandchildren came along, she took an opportunity to move near them to watch them grow as she didn’t want to miss a thing. Family and friends were the most important things in her life.

In accordance with her wishes, there is no formal service and a celebration of life will be held in the summer. In keeping with her desire to help children, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to help the children of Ukraine https://www.knightstemplarorder.com/christmas-appeal

Mom, you have given me strength, taught me to be true to myself, and told me to never let your fears stop you from doing what you want to do. I can only hope that I can pass on what you have taught me to my children, your grandchildren. I will cherish the many moments we have shared as you called it “making memories”.

Arrangements entrusted to the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia (705) 326-3595.
