Passed away peacefully in his sleep at Leacock Retirement home on January 30th, 2023 just days after his 93rd birthday.
Loving husband of Joan Dutrisac (nee Doolittle). Loving and devoted father of Debbie Thistle (Gerry), Judy Bernard and Janice Niven (David). Proud Grandfather to 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He valued friends and extended family with many nieces and nephews.
Guests will be received at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater Street E., Orillia, Ontario (705) 326-3595 on Saturday February 4, 2023 for visitation at 12 pm followed by a celebration of Vern’s life in the chapel starting at 1 pm. A reception luncheon will follow. Cremation has taken place. If desired, memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice and are greatly appreciated.
