On November 24, 2023, Kevin Elmes, loving Husband, Father and Grandfather, passed away at the age of 88. He is predeceased by his parents, William and Martha, and spouse Noreen.
He will be dearly missed by his children, Nancy (Eric), Laura (Joe), Keith, step-daughter Michelle (Doug), his beloved grandchildren Nikki (Eric), Marlee, Warren, Kody, Evan and Kayla and his great grandchildren Hunter and Autumn.
Kevin was born on March 11th, 1935 in West Tottenham, Great Britain and came to Canada in 1953. He was a member of The Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers and went on to having a lengthy career at Garrett Manufacturing in the Aerospace industry.
Kevin will be remembered for being a kind-hearted, gentle man who had many hobbies. He had a passion for photography and always took some amazing photos at Air Shows and Mosport racetracks, as well as capturing the beauty of nature. Kevin was a Motorcycle enthusiast earlier in his life and certainly loved his motor bikes. After his motorcycle days came to an end, he developed a love for bi-cycling and he toured all over Orillia. He also enjoyed spending time on his computer and had a real love for music and the theatre. He spent 35 wonderful years with his soul-mate, Noreen, and built some amazing memories travelling all over the world together.
Kevin has left a lasting impression on the lives of many, and will be remembered with fondness by his family and friends.
His family has chosen to hold a private ceremony to celebrate the life of an amazing man.
