Erskine, Joan Marlene
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Joan. She passed away peacefully at Mariposa House Hospice, surrounded by family, on May 25, 2023, at the age of 68. Beloved wife of John. Loving mother of Alicia (James). Proud grandmother "Joanie Joan" to Zoey. Cherished sister of Sheila and Keith Steingart (Lynne). Loved aunt of Chris and Jennie (Bill) and great aunt of Braden, Ryley and Kallen. Predeceased by her parents Henry & Ellie Steingart. She will be greatly missed by her best friend Bernice Kerr and many cross-stitching friends.
Joan was a graduate of EL Crossley Secondary School and Niagara College which led her to a successful career as a payroll and pension specialist for the Ontario Provincial Police in the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services. Her crafting skills will be remembered by many, but her real passion in life was the love for her family.
As per Joan's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service. We are deeply grateful for the care that Joan received at Orillia Soldier's Memorial Hospital and at Mariposa House Hospice.
