July 22nd, 1947 - January 17, 2023
Mr. Richard John Fenn, age 75 years, passed away in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre after a brief stay, on the evening of Tuesday, January 17th, 2023.
Rick, as he was known by his family and friends, was born in Orillia, Ontario on July 22nd, 1947, and spent most of his childhood, and adult life in Toronto, Ontario. He had a long and enjoyable career as a Bus Driver with the Toronto Transit Commission. Upon his retirement, he relocated to Armstrong Station, Ontario to live out his dreams of being surrounded by the beautiful North while being encircled by some of his closest family members. He particularly enjoyed fishing, watching the moose, and Lynx and never missed an opportunity to set off some fireworks. Rick is survived by his three children, numerous grand-children, and great-grandchildren whom he loved dearly, as well as numerous family members and friends he very much considered his immediate family rather than extended. He was predeceased by his parents, and two sisters, whom he missed immensely, and spoke of fondly. Rick had an unmatched, playful sense of humour, and a smile that would light up a room. He will be greatly missed, but his memory will live on in those who loved him. A celebration of Rick's Life will be held at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St., N., Orillia, on Friday, April 28th, 2023, from 10 am until time of Service at 11 am.
