Peacefully and surrounded by his family, Robert John Ferguson passed away suddenly at the Royal Victoria Health Center in Barrie on Monday April 08, 2024, at the age of 90 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Judy Courtenay and Kelly Losey; grandchildren, Michael (Kerri), Jason (Pam), Taylor (Sam), Riley, Jazalyn; great grandchildren, McKenna, Mitchell, Mason; and numerous other family and friends. Robert was predeceased by his sister Shirley Banks and his brothers Ron & Lee Ferguson. Robert was an easy going family man who never complained. He enjoyed the farm life and was an avid animal lover who enjoyed life to the fullest. He was a member of the ANAF club who is fondly remembered as having a cold beer in one hand and a smoke in the other.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the Coleman Care Nursing Home for their care and compassion he received. A celebration of life will be held on June 23rd, 2024, from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the ANAF club at 74 Victoria Street, Orillia, ON . In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Bob’s name to the Ontario SPCA through the Simcoe Funeral Home , 38 James Street E, Orillia, ON 705-327-0221.
