John passed away peacefully at Mariposa House Hospice in Orillia. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Jude Fleming as well as daughter Kim Head ( Peter ) and son Stephen Fleming ( Sarah ). Loving grandchildren include Stephanie ( Mitchell ) ,Tim ( Kait ) , Jeff ( Caylea ) , Jeremy ( Abby ) , Cody , Alexandra , Rebecca , Brandon , and Emma. He is also survived by siblings Bill ( Olga ) , Patsy ( John ) and Glenn ( Joanne ). John will be missed by his nieces and nephews, along with his extended family and friends.
John owned and operated Mac Fleming Paint & Wallpaper in Aurora which was a family business opened by his father Mac Fleming in 1952. Strong business skills combined with solid interpersonal qualities allowed for much business success. Perhaps he was known in the industry for having the best eye for colour and could match any sample that was brought to him.
John enjoyed travelling to many different places with Jude, family and friends. He had a love for all sports and spent many years on the golf course! He was a kindhearted man and will be sadly missed by everyone, including his favourite dog Moxie.

As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at Carson Funeral Home in Orillia (54 Coldwater St E) on January 20th , 2024 from 12-4 pm.
