It is with extreme sadness and heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of Barry Jack Fletcher. Barry passed away on Saturday, January 15,2022 at Royal Victoria Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 75. Beloved husband and best friend of Barbara Fletcher (nee Keast) of 52 wonderful years. Much loved Dad to Becky (Michael) & Brett (Jamie). Proud and loving Papa to Jaelyn & Nick, Madelyn & Logan.

Will be fondly missed by his brothers Bob (Betty), Don (Jackie, predeceased) and sister Sharon(Chuck) Penny. Predeceased by brother Archie, Mom Lola Fletcher and Mother in-law Eileen Keast. Barry was the cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews who will also miss him so very much.

Barry was a longtime employee of Canada Post, where he enjoyed 31 years of delivering mail in Orillia. Talking to his customers and always having fun with his co-workers. His outgoing personality and easy ability to strike up a conversation lasted until his final days. He devoted his life to his 3 girls, Barb, Becky and Brett. Later came son in laws and he loved them as his own. The grandkids also had a special place in his heart. He was extremely proud of his grandkids…they were his whole world. He would jump to attend hockey practice, ballet recitals, karate classes or drop offs at friends houses.  Barry’s fun loving nature and easy going smile made him many friends throughout his life and he will be missed by all.

According to Barry’s wishes, cremation has taken place and the family will celebrate his life at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Marshall W. Driver Cremation and Burial Service, Barrie.

One of the many joys in Barry’s life, was watching his grandchildren participate in sports. As an expression of sympathy, donations in memory of Barry may be made to either the Canadian Tire Jumpstart Program or the Canadian Cancer Society. Cremation entrusted to Marshall W. Driver Cremation & Burial Service, 19 Ross St., Barrie, ON.
