Passed away peacefully, at home, on March 23, 2021 in his 80th year. Giovanni was born in Curinga, Italy.
Beloved husband of 51 years to Maria Fraone (nee Gullo) of Orillia, formerly of San Pietro a Maida, Italy.
Loving father of Peter Fraone of Orillia and Rosanna Boushy (Mark) of London.
Cherished son of the late Pietro Fraone and the late Rosaria Maiello both of Italy.
Proud Nonno to Jacob Fraone, Dominic Fraone of Orillia and Samuel Boushy of London. Dear brother of Maria Loberto (Frank) of Cambridge, the late Nicola Fraone (Mariella) of Barrie, Caterina Senese (the late Elia) of Italy and the late Giuseppe Fraone (Graziana) of England. Beloved son-in-law of Caterina Buttino and the late Vincenzo Gullo. Loving brother-in-law of Immacolta and Francesco Auteri and Giuseppe and Michelina Gullo all of Italy.
Giovanni will be deeply remembered and missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Giovanni moved to Canada in 1973. He worked hard for many years and dedicated his heart and soul to provide a better life for his family. Giovanni loved spending time outdoors and in his garden. Visitation will be held at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N., Orillia, on Monday, March 29th from 11:15 a.m. - 1:40 p.m. by phone appointment only. Service at the Guardian Angels for Mass of Christian Burial, 115 West St., N., Orillia to follow at 2 p.m. Interment at St. Michaels Cemetery, Orillia.
