At age 83, he resided in the township of Oro-Medonte Ontario and passed away at his home Saturday January 22, 2022.
Ardell and his loving wife Bonnie (predeceased 1/20/21), are survived by their daughter Melanie, and her fiancé Owen Sponagle, and granddaughters Shanelle, Kirsten, (Mikayla) and (Bailey).
Ardell was born to Kenneth Lloyd Gillespie and Marie Hannah Gillespie (Dyrland) at Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital 1938. Ardell’s siblings Ivadell Ila Scott, Leslie Malcolm Gillespie (Gillespie Tree Farm) and Stuart Lloyd Gillespie are predeceased.
Ardell and Bonnie shared a special love and grace that lighted up a room when they entered. Throughout their years together, their kindness and generosity were seen throughout the neighborhood and community. Dearly love and miss you both.
The cremation has already taken place and internment will take place this summer with close family and friends. Donations in Ardell’s memory may be made to The Couchiching Conservancy or the Soldiers Memorial Hospital.
