September 17th, 1968 – June 26th, 2023

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Melanie, a remarkable woman whose love, compassion, and unwavering dedication touched the lives of all who knew her. She departed this world on June 26th with family by her side. Leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever reside in our hearts.

Melanie was the daughter of Margaret and the late Paul Orser, beloved wife of Peter Glass, loving mother to Emily, Alex and Anna Glass. She was the loved daughter-in-law to Bernard Glass and the late Elizabeth Glass, dear sister of Michelle and brother-in-law Dave Howard, and brother Danny and sister-in-law Gayle Orser. She was a loving Aunt to Leah McCarthy and sister-in-law to Kathleen Glass and Brad Johnson. Melanie brought immeasurable joy into the lives of her parents, siblings, children, and extended family. From the very beginning, she radiated endless energy mixed with kindness and compassion.

Among her passions were; running, nature walks, family vacations, Tim Horton’s coffee, cooking for her loved ones, and caring for the family cat, Gordo.

As a devoted mother, Melanie poured her heart and soul into raising her children, providing them with unwavering support, guidance, and unconditional love. She was a constant source of strength and inspiration, always encouraging her children to pursue their dreams, embrace their passions, and stand tall in the face of challenges. It was not uncommon for her and husband Peter to devote their time to driving across Ontario and the United States for their various athletic competitions.

From early high school years, a strong relationship was formed between Melanie and her husband, Peter. Melanie was a loving and devoted wife, her love for her husband Peter, served as a beacon of warmth and stability in their lives. Their bond was one of deep affection and partnership, built upon a foundation of trust, respect, and love. Through life's triumphs and trials, they stood together to overcome challenges by supporting one another.

To her parents, Melanie was a source of immense pride and joy. Her constant presence brought light and laughter into their lives, and she held a special place in their hearts as their beloved daughter. She treasured the values and lessons instilled in her by her parents, carrying them forward in her own life and passing them on to her own children.

As a sister and sister-in-law, Melanie was a cherished confidante and loyal friend. She shared an unbreakable bond with her siblings and their spouses, forging a connection that emerged from love and laughter. Through life's ups and downs, they found solace in one another's presence, providing unconditional love and support.

Beyond her roles within her family, Melanie cherished her relationships with friends. She possessed a rare ability to always make time for friends and offer support whenever needed. She always looked forward to connecting with friends and sharing stories about family adventures.

In the wake of Melanie's passing, we find solace in the memories we shared and the love she bestowed upon us. Though our hearts ache with her absence, we take comfort in knowing that her spirit will live on in the lives of those she touched.
