GODFREY, June Elizabeth

June 2,1939 - March 12, 2023
It is with both deep sadness and peaceful rejoicing that I announce the passing of June Elizabeth Godfrey. She slipped peacefully from my hands into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at her home on Sunday March 12,2023 after a long battle with leukemia. She is predeceased by her parents, Dave and Jean McNevan, her husband Norman Godfrey, her partner of many years Joe Provenzano, her brother Glen McNevan and her sister’s Marlene Thompson and Leata Bannon. She will be greatly missed by her surviving brother Doug McNevan and her sister Carolie Moore and her sister in law Betty Elliott Kichler. She was the Loving Mother of James, Kim and Kathy Godfrey. Proud Nana to Ted, Joey and Crystal Godfrey and doting Great Grandmother to her baby Trista Godfrey. She will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews and her many friends. We will be having a celebration of her life at Westmount United Church, 23 Westmount Drive. Orillia Ontario on July 8th, 2023 visitation from 1-2 pm with service beginning at 2 pm. Luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers donations to Westmount United Church in June’s honour would be greatly appreciated and can be made through the Mundell Funeral Home.
