Passed away unexpectedly on February 9, 2024, at the age of 46. Beloved husband and best friend of Monique Green (nee Rioux). Proud and devoted father of Brenden and Sadie. Sadly missed by Mardy Bird and the fur babies Mazel & Mario. Dearly loved son of Diane (Mac) MacMenemey and Rick (Sue) Green. Forever loved and missed by sister Michelle Green. He is also lovingly remembered by other dear family and many great friends who will immensely feel his absence. Whether you knew Rory since childhood or just met him, you would know about his infectious laughter, captivating stories, and unmatched energy. He was the epitome of sociability, touching the lives of countless individuals with his warmth and compassion, bringing everyone together with genuine kindness. Above all, though, Rory was an extremely dedicated father whose love for his wife and children was unwavering. From a young age, Rory had a special connection with Georgian Bay, finding solace and joy in its beauty throughout the years. His love for the bay was contagious, and he shared this passion with those around him, especially his family. He enjoyed disc golf on the outer islands, fishing, sharing stories around a campfire, and exploring with the dogs, all in the company of others. In his hometown, the Greenhouse has always been a hub of Midland life, where everyone was always welcome for an hour, an evening, or sometimes a year or two. Rory graduated from Georgian College with a degree in Design and Visual Arts and became an advisor on the Committee for the Graphic Design Program. Rory's commitment to his career was evident in his work as he became successful and continued to learn with Creative Digital Marketing in collaboration with Mentors, small businesses, and companies in various parts of the World. Rory was a well-respected and trusted member of every community, as he was involved in golfing, baseball, art, design, music and many more. Rory's presence will be profoundly missed, but his memory will continue to be a beacon of warmth and light for all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Let us come together as a community to show our support for Rory's family and celebrate his life. All are welcome at Carson Funeral Home- J.H. Lynn Chapel, 290 First St., in Midland on Saturday, February 24, 2024, from 1 pm-4 pm for a Celebration of Life drop-in. Words of remembrance will take place at 2 pm. If you know, you know, all will be welcomed back to the Green home to continue sharing great stories and our love for Rory. At this time, the family would like to take this opportunity to express their heartfelt gratitude for the outpour of love and support from the community, friends, and everyone involved. If you wish, donations may be made to the Southern Georgian Bay Air Boat Rescue Group, and they would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
