Passed away suddenly, at the Birchmere Retirement Residence, on September 4, 2023, in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late John Greig (2010) and the late John Carter (1965). Loved and devoted mother of Pamela Carter and Anne Stewart (James). Cherished grandma of Jeffrey Hepinstall (Michelle) and proud great grandma of Benjamin. She will be fondly remembered by Matthew & Kristen Stewart, Patrick & Rebecca World, and Kathy Karchuk & family. Norma is survived by her brother Blake Dunlop (Elizabeth) and predeceased by her loving sister Patricia (James).
Norma loved people and community; after retiring from her proprietorship of Huronia Canvas, she continued to give back in many ways from volunteering with Spencer House, Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital & Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital Diabetic Clinic. She also took great enjoyment and made many treasured friendships through her involvement with the Orillia Probus Club.
Cremation has taken place, following a family interment, the family will receive friends and extended family at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N., Orillia on Wednesday, September 20th from 4 - 7 p.m. In Memory of Norma, memorial donations to the charity of one's choice would be appreciated.
