BA (Education), retired elementary and special education teacher, member of Guardian Angels parish and volunteer, gently took her final leave at Hospice Simcoe on Monday, August 6, 2018 in her 78th year, after a year-long journey with cancer.

Devoted wife and loving partner of Urban (predeceased), she was the proud mother of Michael and Vicki of Moonstone and Marie Louise & Gareth Jones, currently of Jakarta, Indonesia. Blessed with three outstanding grandchildren who gave her much joy: Kayleigh, Paige and Caleb. Twin sister of Maureen Audet (predeceased) with whom she shared an exceptional bond. Dear sister of Edmund Healy and Carol Campbell. Sister-in-law of Pat and Marion of St. Catharines; Thomas and Betty, Margaret Cudahy, Marie Desjardins and John Bolan, all of Toronto, as well as James and Edward, all predeceased. Beloved sister-in-law of Bernice Bolan of Toronto, Guy Audet of Orillia, Bill & Lois, Joe and Rev. Fr. Francis Hannan of Ramara and Gerry Desjardins of Toronto. She will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

The late Pat Hannan graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University, concurrent with full-time work and raising a family, volunteered in retirement for Green Haven Shelter for Women, was an active member of the Quota Club and became an avid world traveller later in life, with over 20 trips from 2002 to 2016. She will also be missed by many friends in the Orillia area, especially Lyn and Viren Mody.

Visitation will take place at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N., Orillia from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm on Friday, August 10. Then to St. Columbkille, 4993 Highway 12 S, Uptergrove, for Mass of Christian burial on Saturday morning, August 11 at 11:00 am. Interment at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Orillia. Parish prayers will be said Friday evening at 6:30 pm.
