It is with profound sadness that the family of Ray Hing announce his sudden passing on February 5, 2024. Ray leaves behind his beloved wife of 42 years, Susan, and daughters Jennifer (Rico), and Jamie. Proud papa of 5 adoring grandchildren Avaeda, Lily, Jaxon, Attila and Csilla. He leaves behind siblings Edward, Lisa, Jean Noel, and he is predeceased by his parents Wan Yuet Wong and Ng Sung Hing.
Ray was born on May 17, 1948 in Mauritius. His dedication to a life of continuous learning led him on his journey to Canada to uncover a whole new world of opportunity. Ray approached all his endeavors with discipline and meticulous attention to detail. He earned a degree in Civil Engineering, which led to a distinguished career with Bell Canada, followed by various consulting positions. A highly educated man, self-taught in many regards, pursued many passions and hobbies including music, wood-working, and spending time with his family. Ray lived a full life, an adventurous man who loved motorcycles, swimming, camping, and spending time at the family cottage.
He will forever be remembered for his warmth and the unconditional love he showed to his family.
