On Saturday, October 26th, 2019, at home in Orillia, with his loving wife and best friend, Edna, by his side, in his 77th year. Harold will be lovingly remembered by his family: Daughter Marilyn Holmes of Orillia, her daughter Jessica and her children Kaydence, Kaelynn and Savannah; Daughter Shelly Lahay of London, her daughter Ashley and her daughter Dianne; Step-Daughter Heather Reda & her husband Gerry of Orillia and their children Kyla, Tianna and Sam. Dear brother of Allan Holmes of Orillia. Predeceased by his parents Norman and Jean Holmes. Harold was a kind and gentle man who was known for his hard work, honesty, integrity and keen sense of humour. He and Edna enjoyed many years of great friendships with so many whether it was dinner or a trip around the world. Thank you to Dr. Greg Armstrong as well as the Community Paramedics program for your care and compassion. Harold enjoyed the visits with friends and family as well as words of encouragement from afar. He will be dearly missed. Following cremation, a Celebration of Life will be held at Hawk Ridge Golf & Country Club, 1151 Hurlwood Lane, Severn, on Sunday, November 3rd, from 1-3 PM with Words of Remembrance shared at 2 o'clock.
