Passed away peacefully at her home in Orillia on Friday August 6th 2021 at the age of 85.
Joan is predeceased by her parents Sonny and Gladys Manning. Beloved wife of Bill Houston for over 65 years. Loving mother of Holly Heavener (late Chris), Cheryl Houston, David Houston , and the late Michelle Houston. Cherished grandmother of Ashley (Josh), and Kelsey (James); great grandmother of Abigail and Bridget. Dear sister of Marie Dunlop (Glenn) both predeceased, and Betty Turner. Joan will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends.
Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St. E Orillia (705) 327- 0221 on Thursday August 12th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home on Friday August 13th, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. Interment at St. Andrew’s - St. James’ Cemetery, Orillia. The family would like to offer a sincere thank you to Dr. Aggarwal and the nurses at Bayshore for their excellent care and compassion. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Canada or to the OSPCA Orillia.
